The Subliminal Power of Whisper Therapy

Updated on October 11, 2012

What is Whisper Therapy?

Whisper therapy is the name given to a form of subliminal messaging. Someone whispers something to you, so quietly that you think you can't hear it, but instead of it going in one ear and out the other, the message is picked up by your subconscious mind.

Whisper therapy is not new; it has been around for at least 100 years, but is only now becoming widely known about, thanks to celebrities like Madonna and Guy Ritchie.

The frightening thought is that it has been used by experts from the various world governments as a tool towards population control, without us being aware. We've all heard of how some TV advertising companies used pictorial subliminal messaging to sell their products - usually via TV advertising, where their products were flashed on screen for a fraction of a second, so quickly we couldn't see it, but our subconscious minds did, AND RETAINED THE KNOWLEDGE!

Now of us wants to feel that someone else has control of our thoughts, but this is what subliminal messaging is all about. CONTROL.

Medicinal Uses for Whisper Therapy

It has a firm place in medicine. Some doctors, mainly psychiatrists, have used this methodology to help 'cure' patients. They whispered to them during the course of their treatment, so quietly the patient was unaware of it, and later they showed remarkable recoveries from their illnesses.

It's use has been widespread in habit-breaking, like addictions.

Dieters have reported easy weight loss through lack of appetite through this form of subliminal messaging.

Whisper Therapy to Repair Relationships

This isn't strictly speaking whisper therapy at all, if we believe whispering sweet nothings into someone's ear to be the same thing.

The whole point of the current fad seems to be to whisper something, one word usually, in an audible fashion to the other person.

This one word is whispered loudly enough for the other to hear, and is of a personal nature. Like she might call him macho and he might return beautiful.

This has apparently to be whispered into the left ear, as the left part of the brain deals with emotions, unlike the right side of the brain which deals with logic.

The only way I can see this form of therapy actually helping a relationship is through intimacy, as one has to move in real close to the other person in order for them to hear what you have to say.

Beats shouting matches any day!

But I seriously doubt if our left ear is more receptive to emotions than our right ear, when it is the brain itself that interprets what we hear, not our ears which are only the receptors.

Subliminal Tapes or CDs

These are recordings made where the message being reinforced is the one that is going to tell you to stop smoking, or eat less or whatever you bought the tape for.

The message is recorded at high speed so that it sounds like the noise chipmunks make, then the volume is turned way down low when being recorded on to tape or disk, so low that you can't actually hear it. But apparently your subconscious can!

The nice thing about this type of 'self-hypnosis' is that you can listen to a tape anywhere at any time, while doing other things.

The frightening thing about knowing this kind of subliminal messaging works is that anyone could be playing little 'blank spaces' over the radio waves or through our TV transmissions without us being aware of it, and if the messaging works, do we really know who we want to vote for in the next election? Did we really intend to buy that item we saw in the aisles of the supermarket, especially when it wasn't on our shopping list?

Haven't there been enough people in our violent history who have gone out and shot a bunch of strangers because 'voices in their head' told them to do so?
