Halloween Prosthetic Makeup Tips

It is really important to take care of your skin both before applying Halloween prosthetics and after you take them off.

Wash you face as normal with a liquid cleanser and water.

Recommended products include Oil of Olay Hydrate & Cleanse Micro-Bead Cleansing Serum, or Neutrogena One Step Gentle Cleanser. This can also be used to take your prosthetic off afterwards. It is important not to use soap which dries out the skin.

After cleansing your face, use a primer to form a barrier between your skin and the latex or make-up you plan to wear. This will make it easier to remove latex prosthetics afterwards.

If you have nothing like that in the cupboard, Milk of Magnesia will do the same job.Afterward, use a good make-up remover to cleanse your skin. Soap, water and scrubbing will damage your skin and not only that, doesn't do a great job of removing everything.
