Amazon has released their new Kindle Fire tablet in direct competition to Apple's ipad and the more recently released tablet called the Nook Color, from Barnes and Noble, the online bookseller who are in direct competition with Amazon.
The Kindle Fire is an android tablet with an attractive yet functional interface especially designed by Amazon.
Buying books, magazine, music and video online has never been easier and all directly from the giant Amazon store itself.

It's front end combines a shopping carousel, with the recent items you looked at conveniently stored on this carousel for quick reference.
Very much like when you shop at Amazon online, the sites 'remembers' the items you have looked at most recently.
Following on the success of Amazon's Kindle, which has revolutionized the nation's reading habits with more people buying ebooks than ever before, the Kindle Fire could be considered to a turbo-powered version of the Kindle.
The best thing about the Kindle Fire is the price!
At only $199, this is a great buy as it can be used to read books, watch videos on its 7" screen, play games and shop online at Amazon.
This is $50 cheaper than its rival, the Nook Color, and it is made of higher specifications.

I am certain your mother-in-law will prefer the Kindle Fire to a real one (the lump of coal) unless it is exceptionally cold this Christmas, in which case, you never know. Good luck either way!
A great piece. This surely look useful and handy. You ve given an elaborate and detailed information. Well written and awesome. Well done
Thanks, I've got my own name down for a Kindle Fire - I think they are a great buy!
They are certainly great value, in fact Amazon are selling each Fire at a $10 loss.
Yes I read something about that, and it is worth them taking this loss because the future gain in sales will well more than make up for it. Clever marketing ploy! From all accounts, the Kindle Fire is a superb piece of technology for a great price.
I think I need one. :) I love the carousel...look so user-friendly! Fantastic review!
Thanks hun :) I wouldn't mind one myself!
